About our Office

Noble Oak Architects was founded in 2020 as I believe architecture is a relationship business. Clients aren’t projects to be processed and passed down a production line. They’re people who live with a building long after the drawings are sealed construction is completed, and they deserve an architect who is still there when they are.

The name is family and place. Noble was my grandfather’s first name, my middle name, and my son’s. The oak is the tree that defines this region. the live oaks that have stood through a century of storms. Strong, resilient, deeply rooted, and beautiful. The same things we want from the buildings we design. The goal of founding the firm is to build something that lasts, grows deep roots and

Noble Oak was founded to close a gap we kept seeing in our region. Architecture, construction, and building science have drifted apart. Drawings get produced without a clear picture of how the work will actually be sequenced in the field. Assemblies get specified without accounting for what heat, humidity, and pressure will do to them over thirty years. The result shows up later as a callback, a leak, a claim. Noble Oak practices at the place where those three things meet. We produce designs that reflect how buildings get built, and details that reflect what the physics will do to them.

That ideological drive runs through everything we take on: commercial, civic, industrial, residential, and federal Clients. New construction, interior renovation, historic preservation, Envelope design, forensic investigation, Information models and digital twins of buildings that exist and buildings that still dreams.

on every one of them, the architect you meet is the architect who sees it through.

Our Philosophy + How We Practice

Noble Oak Architects is an architecture and consulting firm focused on creating thoughtful, technically informed solutions for public, private, and institutional clients. Our work brings together design vision, technical rigor, practical experience, and a deep understanding of materials, systems, constructability, building performance, and the way places are experienced over time.

We practice through collaboration, clear communication, and disciplined problem-solving, coordinating across architecture, interiors, building envelope systems, planning, Building Information Modeling, forensic consulting, and construction-phase services. This integrated approach allows us to guide projects from early planning through design, documentation, and delivery while helping clients navigate complexity, make informed decisions, and create facilities that are purposeful, durable, and built to serve long-term needs.

Architecture rooted in purpose, designed to endure.

Firm Leadership

Benjamin Noble Chadwick, AIA, NCARB, RRO is the Founder and Principal of Noble Oak Architects, bringing more than two decades of experience in architectural design, project management, construction administration, and building-envelope consulting. His career has included commercial, civic, institutional, industrial, municipal, state, and federal work, ranging from new construction and complex renovations to secure facilities, public infrastructure, roofing, waterproofing, and building-envelope rehabilitation. As a licensed architect, NCARB certificate holder, and Registered Roof Observer, Benjamin brings an uncommon

combination of design perspective, technical knowledge, and hands-on understanding of how buildings are assembled, perform, and endure. Benjamin Is the Current president of the New Orleans Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

Benjamin founded Noble Oak Architects around the idea that strong design only matters when an equally strong understanding of construction, materials, and building performance is also applied. He remains actively involved throughout the life of projects leading design, coordinating engineering, and specialty consultants, reviewing constructability, resolving technical challenges, and maintaining direct communication with clients from early planning through completion. His commitment to the profession extends beyond the firm through leadership in the American Institute of Architects; he currently serves as President of AIA New Orleans. His leadership of Noble Oak reflects the same principles that guide the firm's work: thoughtful design, technical rigor, accountability, collaboration, and a commitment to creating architecture rooted in purpose and designed to endure.
